Joy of Living Ministries is a little camp making a big impact for the Kingdom of God!
I recently had my first opportunity as Director to speak to a group of 24 teens at a Joy of Living Discipleship Retreat. During my talk I asked the camper who among them had accepted Jesus Christ as Savior while at a JOL Summer Camp. Sixteen kids raised their hands! Two-thirds of this small sampling of campers from 19 years of ministry are a part of the family of God as a result of the ministry of Joy of Living! That experience has me so pumped for this summer's camp program!
All too often it's easy to equate "little" with unimportant or ineffective. What a mistake! God has shown again and again that He relishes using the little things to make a BIG difference.
I spent the morning with one of my staff here at Joy of Living, dreaming together about making our "little camp" a camp of excellence! What if we all dreamed that dream? What if we took the "little" we have and offered it completely - without reservation to God? Oh the difference each of our lives would make the Kingdom of God! Joy of Living is going to be SO good at being little!
